Dear Orcas Island Community,We invite you to make a difference in the lives of many families by offering a tax-deductible donation to the Orcas Island Recreation Program. We contribute to the well-being of our community in many ways. Now in our seventeenth year, we have a strong track record of offering year-round opportunities for Orcas Island children of all ages, from preschool through high school.

- Hundreds of children have learned to swim in Swim Lessons.
- Thousands of scholarship dollars have been awarded to families in financial need allowing children to participate in our year-round activities.
- Over one hundred twenty boys and girls participate each year in our Fall Youth Soccer Program
- Terrific summer activities are enjoyed by children of all ages.
- Families arriving to the island tap into the community during Rec. Program activities.
Our programs include:
- Theater, Arts, Music, Sports, Swim Lessons
- An extensive summer program for children of all ages
- Field trips for kids and families, Nature Walks, Whale Watching, Summer Day Camps
- Fall Youth Soccer
Children who are involved with our programs:
- Acquire life-long skills and interests while interacting with children and adults of many ages.
- Are team members and community members and are less likely to get into trouble.
- Build self-esteem and confidence in settings that allow personal choice.
While the county is the “backbone” of our organization, 100% of our funding has been cut. We keep our doors open with participation fees, grants, and community donations.
