Orcas Rec Swimming 2010 

Orcas Rec will host the next swimming session May 17^th to June 10^th. Priority will go to participants in the previous session, so limited spots will be available.

The first chance to register will be in-person on Wednesday May 12th 2010 from 3:30-5:30pm at the Orcas Rec office located in the Sr Center. Registration ends May 14^th OR when all classes are full. You may register your own children plus ONE other family (all forms must be signed by their parents). All paperwork plus payment for the session (or a completed scholarship form) is due at the time of registration. All registrations must be in person.

Orcas Rec is no longer using the lottery system for swimming sign ups. Please read the following information carefully and contact us if you have questions.

How it will work

Your child is not signed up and can not participate without following three items!

1. All Orcas Rec forms must be signed and turned in one week before the first day of swimming.

2. Athletic Center/Spa waiver must be signed annually.

3. Payment (or a scholarship request form) is due one week before the first day of swimming.

• An Orcas Rec waiver must be signed and registration form completed each time your child is in a new swimming session.
• One swimming session will be 4 weeks long (two classes per week)
• $100 per session (*scholarships are available)
• There is no longer a $75 rate. We apologize for the inconvenience but due to our financial circumstances, Orcas Rec can not afford to offer this option at this time.
• Participants in the current session have first priority when signing up for the following session. If all participants continue in lessons, the second session will not be open to new participants.
• If a participant decides not to sign up for the following session they loose their priority status.
• If a child is not able to attend a session and you request a refund, we will do so, minus 10%. Four full weekday’s notice is required for a refund.
• No refunds will be given if a child decides to not participate after the first lesson.
• *A limited number of scholarships will be available each session. Once those spots are full, participants in need of scholarships will have to wait until the next session.
• If class is canceled, for whatever reason, we will reschedule a make-up lesson for a later date.
• If your child misses a lesson, for whatever reason, there will be NO individual make up lessons available and there will be NO discount for missed lessons.
• All pool rules and locker room rules must be followed by participants at all times.
• Your child is not signed up until we have the proper paperwork and payment (or scholarship paperwork is completed).
